In today’s video FIT CHICKS Academy co-founder Laura Jackson is talking all about mindset. We can talk all about nutrition and fitness and how to lose weight, but if you don’t shift your mindset you won’t be successful for the long haul.

Most people don’t do this work and this can be blocking you from succeeding. Here are our top tips for creating a mindset for success, whether it be in your health or your life!

#1. Don’t Break Commitments to Yourself

How many times have you said to yourself, “This is it, I’m working out everyday this week!”, then you miss a workout and you feel like crap. Why? Because you broke a commitment to yourself. So what we are suggesting is you start of by looking at what you want to achieve and ask yourself on a scale of 1-10, can I actually do this. If you can’t give it a 10, then dial it back until you can. Because as soon as you start keeping commitments to yourself you start to build momentum. So make those commitments small to begin with, and you will be able to keep them and feel great, and this will snowball into success!

#2. Start a New Language to Yourself

This is something at FIT CHICKS Academy that we always talk to our clients about. We have a FIT CHICKS manifesto which is 13 habits of a FIT CHICK, that we make our clients read EVERY DAY! And this is where the magic happens, because we start to reprogram the way that we see ourselves. In order to be successful in your fitness journey,  you have to see yourself as a fit person. It’s not just “I need to eat healthy and exercise to lose weight”, it’s “I eat healthy and exercise because that is who I am!” It doesn’t happen overnight, but once you keep those commitments to yourself and start changing the language you use, it will happen!

#3 Surround Yourself with Positive People

Having a positive mindset can be a challenge if you are surrounding yourself with negativity. Start surrounding yourself with positive people, listen to positive podcasts, and only follow people on social media that make you feel good!

If you do these 3 things you will start to create an amazing mindset of success and be on your way to reaching your goals!
