At FIT CHICKS Academy we love seeing the creative smoothie recipes our Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Expert students whip up in their blenders! Today we are excited to share this recipe from Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Expert Program  grad Joy Rowlandson.

“Hello My name is Joy Rowlandson. I am a mom of 2 boys and was working in dental full time. I decided to take the FNE and HWLE courses to advise myself and be able to spend time with my boys. I have started my own business. I wanted to help moms getting into shape and take time for themselves for their health in order to take care of their families. As a mom we always put everyone before us. It was time to put myself first so I did. Now I make my own hours around my boys and can be there in times of need. The HWLE course has taught me so much knowledge to add value my clients and help them achieve their goals.

When I was looking for a certification for nutrition I wanted something to teach me more and current but also simple. Something I could use with my clients and would not get turned off by big words or diets. I wanted something more that also had support. I found this with HWLE. You not only have Laura and Amanda but you have a great community that is ready to help you at any time. If you have a questions or even just support or a friend. I like the information that was covered and how is was covered.

I like the modules and the online training and it’s at your pace but also keeps you accountable because there are deadlines. The support was also great and help keeps you accountable. Life is hard and throws you curves but I worked though this and enjoyed the program every time I sat down to do work.

My life has changed so much since HWLE. My knowledge has expanded to help my family and also my clients . I have grow so much as a person and continue to grow as I want to learn more on blood sugar index and the macronutrients. I offer workshops on nutrition topics and enjoy helping people.

This program is so helpful to expand your knowledge not only for your own health but also for those of your clients. If you don’t touch nutrition and many other things you will not achieve your health goal. It takes a combination of many things as you will learn in this program.

Recipe: Avocado Explosion Smoothie

I created this green smoothie recipe as a convenient solution for my family to help add protein to their diet in the morning. I selected these ingredients for their quality in balancing blood sugar. These ingredients are fabulous for weight loss.

Servings: 3

Tools Required: Blender

Ingredients:

1 cup of water

3 Leaves of Kale

1/2 cup of Frozen Avocados

1 cup of Frozen Strawberries

1 tbsp of Cacao

1 tsp Cinnamon

2 Scoops Of Vanilla Pea Protein Powder

Directions: 

1- In a blender pour water, then all dry ingredients, then Kale. Put frozen fruit on top.
2- Blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until smooth.
3- Pour and serve

Protein: 25g

Fat: 17g
